Professor Severus Snape, Potions Master at Hogwarts was calmly marking his students essays. Most of them either getting O’s or below that grade. The only one that didn’t get an O this time was Miss Granger who got an E. He sighed pinched the bridge of his nose trying not to let her annoy him.



An owl came flying in his quarters and perched on his desk. He took the letter from the owl and gave it a treat as he read the letter, his face paled. “The Tri-Wizard tournament here?” he thought worriedly as he glanced at the dark mark on his arm. It was faded but every once in awhile he would feel a twinge in his arm.



He scanned the letter again and noticed one name in particular, Headmaster, Igor Karkaroff of Durmstang. He groaned and reclined back in his chair. Now he knew that Albus was off his rocker. “What was that old fool thinking? He’s a much of a death eater and somehow gotten off to easy.” He thought knowing full well once Igor arrived he would be bugging Severus everyday.



True to his thought, that’s what Igor did once he arrived. Severus tried to ignore him at the table in the Great Hall. And once he interrupted his Potions Class as Severus scowled at the students and yelled at Igor to “Get out!”



Igor thought as he looked at his dark mark. “The Dark Lord is coming back. I have to prove it to Severus.” He thought as he cornered the Potions Master in the store room.



“Now you have know where to go to Severus. Show me your mark,” Igor demanded sternly as he rolled up his sleeve.



“Oh not this again, Igor! How many times have I told you not here in front of students and faculty! The Dark Lord has not risen!” he protested vehemently to Igor. He just wanted him to be gone and leave him alone!



Igor got closer to him showing him the dark mark on his arm. “See this! He is coming back! I know it and we would have to be ready. Whose side are you on anyway?”



Severus knew he was trying to find out if he was a spy but he held fast saying “I am not showing you my mark and that’s final!”



The potions door opened to reveal an open mouthed Harry Potter staring at the two men who were arguing over the dark mark. “Please Severus show me yours!” Igor pleaded with the man not knowing they had an audience.



“For the final time, NO! Now go!” Severus pointed out and was stunned to see Harry there, when Igor brushed by the boy.



“How much have you overheard, Potter?” Severus questioned him sternly.



“Not much Professor.” Harry spoke quickly and then turned and left, Severus.

I loved it..... is it a one shot? It has a potential to be a longer story! Will you be writing more to it?

It is a one shot! I have been thinking about it. But I haven't come up with anything yet.

I do have a different one shot but for some reason it wouldn't let me post without a longer title to it. Would it be ok to post it underneath this one?

sure or just add a dozen of ...... to the title to post it in seperate thread
